The Olympian Riviera
A winning combination of sun, sea and history

Going for gold on the Western Greece coastline.
The ultimate symbol of the Olympic Games as well as ancient Greece as a whole, the land of Olympia is a historic destination that requires more than one visit in order to take in its majesty. The same can be said of its surroundings, with dozens of gorgeous beaches lining up to deliver superlative sun and sea experiences, while offering the facilities to make your stay as luxurious as you could imagine.
Endless glittering shores against a backdrop of blue and green
For waiting loungers, umbrellas, a cosmopolitan air and sensational sunsets, head to Arkoudi. A quieter alternative can be found at Glyfa, where the waterline is met by a gorgeous forest. Somewhat less well-known options are Kaiafas, with thermal baths of the same name close by, and Leventochori just outside Katakolo. Feeling like a little gentle work out? Why not take to the canoe or pedalo at Thines-Vartholomio beach in the bay of Helonitis or combine your exercise with a discreet peek at caretta-caretta turtles at beautiful Kourouta. Loutra Kyllinis (aka Chrysi Akti) and Kato Samiko offer beach volley courts and motorized water sports, while for kite surfing or scuba diving, pick Skafidia and the beach of Agios Andreas respectively. In the latter, as well as on Zacharo beach, the fun carries on past sunset with swinging beach parties and pulsating clubs.
