Large, beautiful, with crystal-clear, blue-green waters, the beach of Aigeira is an ideal place for relaxation and recreation located in the homonymous picturesque town. Embracing the Gulf of Corinth, it lies 6km from Akrata and 4km from Derveni.
Pebbly and surrounded by trees and reeds, located on the border of Achaia with Corinthia, almost unserviced and relatively isolated, its charming natural environment is suitable for those looking for tranquility and peace.
Owing to its gentle morphology, natural small harbors and deep waters, it is also suitable for spearfishing enthusiasts, fishing lovers and seabed explorers.
Notably, the town of Aigeira, on the eastern borders of the Prefecture of Achaia, has a history that goes back to antiquity. Its ancient theater is a well-known monument, overseeing the beach, the plain and the bay. Built at an altitude of 350m and partly carved into natural rock, it is believed to have been built around 280-250 BC, with a capacity estimated at 3,000.
