A secluded, almost secret and isolated beach of exceptional beauty, Limnopoula is situated in a unique landscape where the massif of Mt. Varasova, the sacred mountain of the Aetolians, attempts a vertical dive into the lacy northern shores of the Gulf of Patras.
Lying between the villages of Kryoneri and Kato Vasiliki, some 35 minutes from Patras, 20 min. from Messolonghi and 30 min. from Nafpaktos, this virgin beach is mostly sandy, with clear and shallow waters, unserviced, with no tourism infrastructure, and unbeknown to many.
According to sources preserved before 1836, the beach and the wider area were known as Kavourolimni or Gavrolimni.
The idyllic beach of Limnopoula is suitable for swimming or picnicking, and also for initiates, restless and nature lovers. It has been proclaimed a suitable destination for those seeking peace and carelessness, and rightfully belongs to the special beaches of the Municipality of Nafpaktia and of Aitoloakarnania as a whole.
